Mission
Blood Buddies is a community-based organization that offers programs and activities to assist in the management of bleeding disorder care by integrating psychosocial programming and physical activities into the comprehensive services offered through Hemophilia Treatment Centers and advocacy groups. With a focus on psychosocial programs and physical activities, Blood Buddies will further promote comprehensive physical development for persons and families who are affected by hemophilia, bleeding disorders and/or other related health concerns (including HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, joint disease, joint replacement, and pain management) and seek to improve the quality of life of the participants.
Vision
Programs and activities will be coordinated in conjunction with services offered through Hemophilia Treatment Centers and community advocacy groups.
Objectives
Blood Buddies programs and activities will improve the quality of life of individuals affected by a bleeding disorder and provide a cost benefit in terms of overall health care related to the reduction of prescription drug usage and overall consumption of health care.
